Nest is a modular sequencer inspired by classic transistor-based circuits, offering a blend of traditional and modern tools for music creation. It features modules like Shift Registers and Multiplexers, alongside if/else and math modules, providing flexibility in sequencing.

Users can distribute up to 8 MIDI voices among 4 sound generators, including VSTs and internal synths, for seamless integration of software and hardware instruments. Nest allows creative exploration without physical components, enabling users to patch circuits and create diverse beats and patterns.

With over 20 modules on the Wire Page, users can manipulate pitch, velocity, and rhythms, fostering creativity and experimentation. On the Sound Page, voices are assigned to 4 channels for layering sounds, with options for internal synths, VST plugins, and MIDI outs.

Nest’s development was inspired by physical eurorack modules, leading to its software counterpart that emulates sequencing and logic ICs. It serves as a rule-based MIDI sequencer, offering endless possibilities for creativity in a digital environment.
