Description
- The Nektar Technology Impact LX25+ is a USB controller keyboard with 25 velocity-sensitive keys, providing intelligent mapping for key functions in major DAWs. Its keys offer medium tension and support various playing styles with four velocity curves and three fixed-velocity levels. This keyboard includes octave and transpose buttons, pitch-bend and modulation wheels, and eight velocity-sensitive pads for MPC-style finger-drumming, all assignable to MIDI functions. It comes bundled with Bitwig 8-Track DAW and can optionally connect with iOS devices.
Control Center
The Impact LX25+ showcases a control panel with versatile customization, hosting a 30mm fader and eight encoders that can transmit any MIDI CC message. When paired with Nektar DAW integration, these controls enable smooth operation across top DAWs, supporting personalized settings stored in five Impact LX+ presets. The "Null" function maintains stored parameter values, preventing abrupt parameter changes when switching presets.
Transport, Mixer, and Instrument Control
This controller simplifies music production with dedicated controls for transport functions, track navigation, mixer adjustments, and instrument presets. Offering six transport buttons, eight channel controls for mixer settings, and an Instrument button that automatically assigns controls to instrument parameters when a track is selected, the Impact LX25+ ensures ease of use and quick access to essential functions.
Pads for Groove Creation
The keyboard includes eight responsive pads perfect for finger-drumming, sensitive to light touches. These pads are fully customizable, assignable to various MIDI notes or messages for triggering or toggling functions. The "Pad Learn" feature makes assignment effortless: select a pad, play the desired note or sound, and it's ready. With settings saved across power cycles and multiple storage locations, these pads are versatile for creating and customizing grooves.
Seamless DAW Integration
Integration with major DAWs streamlines common functions required for recording and performance. Installation simplicity allows immediate music creation. DAWs currently supported include Cubase, Digital Performer, FL Studio, Garageband, Logic, Nuendo, Reaper, Reason, Sonar, and Studio One. Labeled controls and buttons eliminate the need to memorize their assignments.
