Description
- The Teenage Engineering CH–8 Olga is a handcrafted wooden singing doll designed as part of the interactive Teenage Engineering Choir ensemble. Featuring a rich contralto vocal range, Olga can perform pre-programmed choral compositions or be controlled wirelessly through BLE MIDI using devices like the OP–1 Field, OP–Z, and other compatible MIDI keyboards. Crafted from solid beech wood with a unique natural grain, each doll houses an integrated speaker module that enables both solo performances and synchronized multi-unit choir playback with up to 15 connected singers. Motion-based controls allow intuitive interaction through tapping, tilting, and movement gestures, while the rechargeable internal battery delivers up to 3–4 hours of continuous performance in a compact sculptural design.

Full Choir in Formation
The CH–8 choir forms a fully connected ensemble, syncing into one unified system. Controlled via OP–1 Field, OP–Z, or any BLE MIDI keyboard, all eight figures perform together in perfect harmony as a single living choral instrument.

Tap, Tilt or Smack.
The CH–8 responds to touch and movement through built-in sensors—tap to play or pause, tilt to adjust volume, and a firm gesture to stop—turning each figure into a hands-on way to conduct the choir.

Crafted Wood, Modular Sound
Each CH–8 figure is crafted from solid beech wood with a hand-finished natural grain. Inside, a removable, rechargeable speaker module powers each performance, combining craft with modular design.
