Intuitive Touchscreen Control
The WING control surface features a large capacitive touchscreen interface with touch-sensitive rotary controls, providing a new level of ease in operation. Users can customize three fader sections and a Custom Controls section intuitively to meet their specific preferences, allowing for flexible configurations suited to various applications. The touchscreen interface enhances user experience, enabling quick and seamless adjustments.
Extensive Connectivity and Audio Processing
WING excels in digital connectivity with 374 I/Os, 3 AES50 SuperMAC ports, 48x48 USB audio channels, and an optional AoIP module (64x64 channels). The console features AES/EBU stereo I/O and an expandable card slot for ADAT, MADI, DANTE, and WSG standards. The Klark Teknik StageConnect interface facilitates audio transmission, control data, and power over a single XLR cable for 32 channels. WING's Premium FX rack boasts 8 true-stereo processors with renowned emulations, complemented by an extra set for modulation, equalization, dynamics, and guitar amplifier simulations.
Versatile Channel Editing and Controls
WING's innovative channel editing section ensures an immediate overview of channel status and workflow efficiency. The central section offers user-assignable controls, including rotary encoders and buttons with LCDs. This allows users to configure functions at their fingertips, supporting a seamless and personalized mixing experience. Additionally, touch-sensitive rotary controls display relevant information conveniently.
Source-Focused Mixing Approach
Unlike traditional mixing consoles that focus on input numbers, WING adopts a unique perspective by centering on the Source as the primary reason for mixing. Each of the 48 input channels and 28 bus mixes supports mono, stereo, or mid-side sources, allowing for dynamic configurations on the fly. This approach provides clarity by assigning properties to Sources, such as mono/stereo mode, headamp parameters, color, icon, name, and tags for grouping and filtering.
