- The Teenage Engineering EP–1320 Medieval Instrumentalis Electronicum is a portable sampler and performance composer that blends modern beat-making tools with a large medieval-themed sound library, featuring instruments like hurdy gurdy, citole, bagpipes, flutes, drums, and cinematic foley effects such as swords, crowds, and fantasy creatures. It includes 12 velocity-sensitive pads, built-in microphone and speaker, and a fast workflow for sampling, slicing, sequencing, and arranging music through patterns, groups, and tracks. With punch-in performance effects, arpeggiator modes, and onboard send FX, it’s designed for expressive live jamming as well as structured production, while MIDI connectivity and user sample storage allow integration into larger studio setups.
